The Bad News
So I have been hunting for these for a long time. And now that I have finally gotten a hold of them I am very disappointed in a lot of areas. The first is that a lot of the options are cut down to specific numbers instead of the full range. The main example of this is the scoring categories. For a majority of them you can only set -5/-2/-1/0/1/2/5/10 when in Halo 3 you can set it to any number between -10 and 10. This happens to a lot of the settings. Another disappointment is that a lot of gametypes that gave points for kills and deaths and stuff no longer do. The main examples are KoTH, Headhunter, and Oddball. Yes that means Sotha Sil cannot remake Yeah! Hill and myself and Debo cannot create Hot Potato or Evenball respectively with a scoring system based around kills. Sorry guys. Another disappointment is that you can only set a maximum of 5 territories rather than a max of 8 like in H3. Yes this does mean that now all Conquest maps will have 5 or less territories. The new scoring system shouldn't make this too bad, but still. Also there is no more respawn on territory capture, flag capture, or bomb detonation. *sigh* No more Tactical CTF or respawn on cap in Conquest. There are various other disappointments, but I will let you find them for yourself.
The Good News
Alright so yeah there were some disappointments, but there are also a lot of good things too. The system is a lot more organized and easier to find what you are looking for. Also loadouts will make gametypes very flexible. Infection Havens are going to make some interesting possibilities and so is the new Hot Potato setting in Oddball. Basically it makes the oddball explode at regular or random time intervals ;). Invasion allows a lot of control over the phases and Invasion Slayer allows you to do some interesting things with tier loadouts. There are some new percentages and numbers for a lot of settings that will really make gametypes interesting if people discover them. I will let you explore and try to find them for yourself. I will definitely be abusing the new ones that people are barely able to notice. I hope you guys enjoy these and I hope it helps you out. Again share with your friends and redirect them over to ReachingPerfection.com. Gotta love that advertising, right? lol...
Questions and Answers
Below I will answer any questions that you have. All you have to do is comment on it. After observing the settings for so long I am pretty knowledgeable about the whole ordeal now.

When you set a territory zone, can the zone be larger than what Halo3 allowed? Can One territory zone be the size of the Canyon?
lol that isn't a gametype setting question. I don't actually have the game so I have no idea. However even the one in Halo 3 could be setup to cover a majority of the canyon. I don't think they increased its size.
How do you know that these are 100% correct? Because some of these are a major let down and I doubt Bungie would do that.
So, at this point we've lost the majority of the tactical/competitive gametypes known to Halo 3 - Asset, Agents, Regeneration Slayer, Attrition CTF and its variations, and probably others I don't know about
@Hippo, leaked source. Nuff said.
and it sucks that we lost such good things! But, good thing we gained some too.
you deserve 100 internets (:
Anyway, great job godly... sorry to hear about the 5 max, but with forge world its acceptable... we knew about VIP for a long time, silver...
Still, the new options will make some new gametypes that are awsome, I plan to build something based off splintercell multiplayer using Invasion.
I think he is mainly talking about the loss of general gametype settings. The main thing I'm upset about is the loss of kill/death scoring in oddball and koth and the lack of it in headhunter. That kills soooo many custom gametypes out there.
And I agree Hippo these are a major letdown. And I have videos of all of the gametypes being scrolled through. *sigh* I wish it wasn't true, but it is. And it might not be 100% lol... I spent like 8 hours putting this together so I could have accidentally mistyped something.
Thanks for the mention! :)
@Clubhouse The territory sizes are huge. One can fit over the canyon.
That invisible name setting is going to be a fun one. What are you thinking about remaking hot potato? i know not all the settings are there that need to be there but i'm sure there is some way you, of all people, would pull it off.
I've actually got a Hot Potato style gametype in mind. Kind of the bare bones of an idea that I may preview today. I have a bunch of little ideas that I want to get out there and test until I can find a fun way to do them. I think today's post is going to cover a bunch of smaller previews.
Hmmm... I would like to see those :P
I don't see any settings about species (spartan or elite). Is there any way to control that; like to make infection zombies be elites, or have spartan versus elite slayer?
Sadly you cannot set the settings for separate species. And if you wanted to do SvE Slayer then there is a gametype specifically made to do that. After all the talk about the settings feeling uncomplete we are hoping that the build that everyone has does not have all of the settings and that we get a ton more. Of course that is just a hope.
Why do all the gametypes have 3 tiers of loadouts? Do they rotate between rounds or something?
That is something we have been questioning for a while. Apparently from the leaked build there was no answer to this question. We believe this may be an incomplete version that will be fixed on launch with a title update.
Surprised nobody has put this on Forgehub yet. I'll take that up.
I will actually be re-writing the settings slightly and setting up spoiler code for them to be used on forums. For the most part they were all pretty accurate I just need to change several things. Thanks though bro.
can you make infection tiers?
You cannot have tier loadouts in infection. Sorry bro. Tiers actually only work in Invasion and Invasion Slayer.
umm all the links are broken :(
The infected can have loadouts, but not tiers. Just set the Spartan Tier 2 loadouts to the ones ou want the zombies to have.
how do you limit vehicle usage ?
I'm trying to download game types, but the game isn't highlighting it. It will only let me look at / download Map Variants. What do I do?
