1. On the first day of Reach

      Alright so I've had like 7-8 hours with the game and then got like 4 hours of sleep. Before I jump back on I want to give you guys a heads up on what's going on with the stuff I'm working on. Check it out peepz. ;)


      Flatline is ready to go and kicking in high gear. This is probably going to be my most popular gametype. It is fun, fast paced, tactical, and addictive. The current traits of the gametype are as follows:

      • Elite slayer so that players don't have to worry about hunting for med kits
      • 0% Jump Height
      • 110% Movement Speed
      • Unlimited Evade
      • Bottomless Clip (I'll explain)
      • 2x Frag Grenades
      • AR primary/Magnum Secondary
      • No Power Weapons on Map
      • 90% Melee damage
      • 25% Shield Recharge rate
      • 75 meter Enhanced Radar
      • 150% gravity
      That's all that I can think of right now. If I missed something my bad. Anyways, most of the above are self explanatory. You can't jump, there is slightly higher gravity so that you don't just fly around everywhere. The 75 meter enhanced radar stops camping and always gets you moving towards the action. No power weapons on the map removes the sword, shotgun, hammer, rocket launcher, etc that are all very powerful with bottomless clip. Bottomless clip is turned on because if you have to reload while running around you can't because then you end up evading and you have to restart the reload process and it was just unentertaining and unfun. Frag grenades are chosen specifically because plasmas are too easy to stick on evaders. Low shield recharge is self explanatory and 90% melee damage makes it a 3 hit melee kill instead of just a double hit (which proved to be a bit frustrating sometimes. It's a blast and you guys should join our playtesting to try it out.


      So I've got the base gametype thrown together and it is ready to be tested, I just don't have any maps. I did find out that you can't phase certain objects, mainly ones not on Forge World so that may hinder may progress on creating some non-forge world Conquest maps like I planned. Anyways, it is ready to go if you guys want to give it a try. I'm going to try to have at least one Conquest map thrown together to playtest the gametype for later.

      Double Helix

      It took me a long while to get used to the forge controls, but now that I have gotten used to it Double Helix is coming together fast. Everything just sort snaps into place. It is very nice actually lol... The center structure is done as well as one of the top paths and one of the mid paths. I haven't redesigned the bases yet or tried out the side towers yet or domed in the top so there is still quite some work to be done.

      Other Stuff

      Anyways, instead of sitting here and typing to you I'm going to go head over and get some work done so we can have some fun tonight. I may not have like 10 things like I promised, but at least we will have flatline and we will have a blast lol... ;). I also did find some disappointing things about gametype settings that I will talk to you about later. Gotta go get back to my first day of Reach...
