[RP Favorites] The Blood Bowl

Welcome to the first article of a new series. RP Favorites are just that... a bunch of things that I found fun, awesome, unique, or just downright magnificent. This series is going to consist of smaller sized posts with one or two paragraphs talking about whatever it is. They could be maps, gametypes, screenshots, films, etc. Note that this stuff is what I like. We may have different tastes. I won't guarantee that the selection is going to be biased free, but its my personal blog right? So I do what I want. If I like it, you may like it too. If not, then move along... these are just recommendations. Their favorites and not features. Feature implies that they are perfect and awesome. Favorites implies that I enjoy them. So take what you will from this series. The series is here to give you a little something more to read and throw out recognition where it's needed. Originally I was going to write a Forge Lesson today, but I was gathering my thoughts and I'm not quite ready to post it. So instead I'm changing up the schedule and posting Lesson 32 tomorrow. Before I start, I wanted to throw out a special thanks over to Louis and Grim over at http://halo.bungie.org. Not bad at all. This my friends is a blast to play and I'm honored to have playtested it before it came out. So how does it work? Simple... the FFA version (Monday Night Goosin') is infection based. The infected start in the little rooms on the side and then shoot explosives down into the bowl. The humans race around the bowl in a mongoose trying to stay alive as long as possible in order to score last man standing. There is a custom powerup that spawns in the center that "unlocks" the armor ability that you choose as a loadout. You can use that armor ability to help you stay alive, but you have to leave the safety of your trusty mongoose. When humans die they become infected and add to the chaos.

The team version (Tuesday Night Goosin') on the other hand is KOTH based. One team works like the zombies and just creates chaos in the bowl trying to eliminate the other team as quickly as possible so that they don't earn too many points in the hill... and then it switches. In the team version you only have one life so use it well. Pretty simple right?
